DianaShack's 7 Steps to Long-Lasting Makeup

Facebook LogoTwitter Logo

Here we go again with another SG OG! DianaShack was one of the first people on this app, EVER. In fact, her first review was almost a year ago, and although that might not seem like a long time ago (especially these days), Supergreat really only launched last August. You read that right; DianaShack was technically on the app before it was publicly launched. Bow down to your SG Queen!

This Supergreater is from North Carolina and is a sophomore in high school, but if we've learned anything from our Featured Reviewers it's that age doesn't mean a thing. This girl knows what she's talking about, and she has over 130 reviews on the app to prove it, including makeup, skincare, nail polish, hair care, and tools (so many glorious tools)!

Some of her holy grails? "The Benefit Gimme Brow Gel and the Tatcha Water Cream," she says. "I love almost all products from e.l.f.! I want to try their new pore filling primer and I want to try more products from Makeup Revolution."

If you couldn't already tell her from her reviews, Dianashack is as sassy as she is resourceful—cue her iconic duck face that makes an appearance in some of her best reviews. You know the one (just in case you don't, here's one of our favorite examples)

She likes to travel and have a good time with her friends, and although she says she doesn't have a catchphrase, she does have one quirk that she had to share. "I can’t go a day without bursting out singing the song “Pocketful of Sunshine” by Natasha Bedingfield," she says. "It’s the best song." We apologize in advance for getting this song stuck in your head.

Other sage advice from this makeup connoisseur? "My makeup no-no is blocky Insta brows," she says, "and my skincare no-no is overwashing the skin. Overtreated skin leads to acne prone skin."

You know how some people look hot as heck with a dark smoky eyeshadow, and other people look like terrifying villains or horror movie monsters? Well, DianaShack is the latter. "I can’t stand dark eye makeup," she says. "Black eyeshadow is not my friend." We feel your pain girl (acutely).

This Supergreater prefers the no-makeup makeup look, and she has all the tips and tricks to make that natural look last all day.

Watch her 7 steps to long lasting makeup below.

  1. First step: Moisturizer

No matter what kind of skin you have, moisturizing is an essential step in any skincare regime. It will also help your makeup last all day by acting as a primer.

  1. Second step: Foundation or concealer

Apply to your cheeks, forehead, chin and anywhere else on your face that needs coverage and blend it in with a brush or sponge.

  1. Third step: Bake!

Baking (applying setting powder to your face) ensures that your makeup stays in place all day, and doesn't crease into the fine lines on your face. Apply setting powder under your eyes, around your smile lines, and any other places that creases.

  1. Fourth step: Brows

Use an eyeliner brush and dip into the product. Follow the outline of your brows and fill them in where necessary.

  1. Fifth step: Bronzer

Apply bronzer to your forehead, cheekbones, and jawline in a 3-shaped pattern on both sides of your face.

  1. Sixth step: Highlight

Use a sponge or a brush and apply product to the tops of your cheekbones, on your brow bones, on your cupid's bow, down the middle and on the tip of your nose, and around your temples.

  1. Seventh step: Mascara

Apply mascara starting from your outer lashes towards the center. Keep coating them with product for a more glam look.
