It seems like every day something new is being infused with CBD, including lattes, caramel almonds, jujubes, lollipops, and smoothies. The trend has also made its way into beauty, with CBD and hemp infused bath bombs, serums, shampoo, hair pomade, and even makeup (think Milk's bestselling KUSH mascara).
While these kinds of products can’t get you high (both have very low levels of the psychoactive ingredient THC), they can benefit your hair and skin. This is because CBD and hemp are rich in vitamins A, C, and E; vitamin A stimulates the production of skin cells, C stimulates the production of collagen, and E blocks the production of free radicals (responsible for disease and aging). CBD also helps reduce inflammation and other skin issues like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
So you can tell your mom to stop freaking out; from masks to balms, there are tons of ways to reap the beauty benefits of cannabis without the bad trip.
